- How long can I keep my makeup?
I know it hurts to throw away makeup, but for safety's sake here is a rule of thumb. Foundations and Lipsticks can generally be kept up to one year. Face Powder 6 months to 1 year. Eye makeup up to 3 months and mascara ONE MONTH!. To me, it's not worth a serious eye infection or skin problems just to save a few dollars. If you have a favorite color and just can't part with it. Think about this: It is advisable to have your makeup colors reevaluated at least 2 times per year. This will help you keep up to date on the latest fashion colors, and you or your makeup won't look outdated.

- How do I get my lipstick to stay on longer?
Use a lipliner close to the color of your lipstick. This will help prevent "bleeding". Also remember to put a little foundation or powder on your lips before applying lipstick. Once you have applied the color, blot and apply a little powder to "set" the color, then reapply the lipstick.
